The Boom Energy Drink All Star Sound Clash is back, much to the delight of dancehall fanatics who have been waiting for the high-energy event to resume.

Slated to kick off on March 3, the clash this year will be held at Boom All Star HQ, Olympic Way, St Andrew, featuring eight new sound systems - King Alliance, Star Kade, Tony Matterhorn, Fire Links, Jack Scorpio, Emperor (from Jamaica), Choice Movement and Emperor (from Japan).

"There are new elements to the clash this year," stated Chieftin Campbell, community - relations coordinator at Boom Energy Drink.

"The stakes have been raised. The grand prize is J$1,000,000. There is no second-place prize, so winner takes all," Campbell added.

For the first time since its inception, the clash has included a second sponsor. Magnum Tonic Wine has come on board for the event which is expected to draw a massive crowd to Olympic Way.

Promoter for the event, Anthony 'New Kidz' Bennett, expressed gratitude to Boom Energy Drink and Magnum Tonic Wine for believing in the dream.

"The Boom All Star Sound Clash is a good product, and we are very happy that Boom Energy Drink and Magnum have given us such strong support. It's a great event and patrons can expect a very good show from the sounds each week," Bennett said.

The event is highly anticipated. Admission is $500.
