Chronic Hill releases Crisis
Canada-based recording label Chronic Hill Records, recently released what can be considered to be a riveting single, Crisis, recorded by rising reggae artiste, JR Daine.
The single which is currently gaining momentum online as well as on radio stations overseas, is expected to do well on local airwaves, as it addresses many social, political and economic deficiencies, not only within the shores of Jamaica, but beyond as well.
Hardcore lyrics coupled with a strong delivery has this single poised to become an international hit and certifies JR Daine as an artiste to watch in 2016.
Chronic Hill Records, owned and operated by recording artiste Fabian Graham aka Fabigeez, despite being based in Toronto, Canada, is highly reputed to produce strong culturally-based reggae and dancehall music. This while it works assiduously to maintain a serious level of authenticity that is sometimes thought to be lacking in regards to overseas reggae recording labels and their productions.
Recent Chronic Hill projects such as the Rise Again rhythm, stands testimony to the mandate of the label, as it features culturally aware artistes such as Teflon, Deep Jahi, JR Daine, Lindo P, Mikey Dangerous and I Prudent.
"It's very important as a producer to establish the theme of the label. For Chronic Hill Records this means sticking to high production standards, regardless of outside conditions and factors such as location. The fact that we are in Canada, does not give us an excuse to produce below industry standards, and we strongly acknowledge this fact, which is reflected in all our productions." Fabigeez said.
