Razor B 'hotting up' dancehall
Dancehall artiste Roger Cassup, popularly known as Razor B, currently has an arsenal of songs 'hotting up' the dancehall and getting heavy radio rotation.
In recent times, he has released singles like Beetroot, Bruk Back, I Need You featuring Voicemail, and the Supa Hype-produced hit single Up In Deh. The artiste said the music video for I Need You is already in rotation on TV, while the video for Bruk Back is in its final editing stage and is due for release within a few weeks..
"I just shot the video for Bruk Back and it looks good so far. The editors are on the final stage, so fans can look out for its release soon," he said, adding that he will also be shooting the video for Beetroot very soon.
And, as he continues to gain momentum in the dancehall, Razor B hinted that there have also been some changes in his management structure.
"My career is going good so far, but to grow we have to make adjustments. I am not eliminating any aspect of my management structure, but I plan to do some additions to help build and grow my career more," he said.
Meanwhile, Razor B is also upbeat about his three nominations at this year's Youth View Awards - Favourite Local Music Video, Favourite Local Chart Topping Song and Hottest Summer Song. All three nominations are for his breakthrough hit single Hot Up.
"I am very honoured to be nominated for even one award, much less three! I am very grateful and ecstatic. This is an indication that hard work does get recognition and rewards. I'm very humbled and excited," he said.
