MAPS (Music and Pool Series ) first anniversary brought hundreds of patrons to Caymanas Golf Club recently as they celebrated the now one-year-old pool party.

The DJs who played on the night included Copper-shot, DJ Liquid as well as Team Shella, and they all delivered strong sets sending home patrons feeling satisfied.

The venue was decorated using blue and white fabric with hot air balloons, while the VIP area had all-inclusive food.

However, the patrons seemed more concerned about the activities in the pool than paying attention to the food. This, as the ladies who boldly entered the water provided enough entertainment for a worthy distraction. Some ladies danced on the necks of their male partners, while others climbed on-top of the pool bars so as to capture the attention of onlookers.

Coppershot kicked things off with hip hop and '90s dancehall selections with a bit of contemporary dancehall and passed on the baton to Team Shella, with the outspoken Ikel Marvelous. He was in his element as he introduced songs and deejayed at intervals.

DJ Liquid was last to play and concluded the event on a high note, pulling for popular dance songs from Bling Dawg, Ding Dong, among others.

According to MAPS promoter Cadeem Mullings, the event has developed a loyal fanbase because it is unique.

"We were focused on creating an innovative and creative Vegas-type pool party where patrons actually entered the pool, get their drinks in the pool, and party in the pool. I believe that this is one of the main reasons we have created loyal fans who follow us anywhere we go. Our aim is to visit every major parish in Jamaica and eventually we will be going to the other Caribbean islands and South Florida," she said.

She also stated that MAPS deserves a passing grade for the anniversary celebration party.
