REP launches new radio show
Real Entertainment Production (REP) is ready to launch its second radio show, REP-VIBZ, slated to kick off on March 16, 8-9 p.m., on Bess 100 FM.
The show will be hosted by Durward 'Jah Dean' Stewart.
"This show will be streamlined towards entertainment, and we are seeking to be more engaged with listeners and bring more vibes. Putting Jah beside my name doesn't mean I am a Rasta, I put God first," Stewart said.
The host is a second-year student at the University of The West Indies, Mona, where he is studying marine biology in the Faculty of Science and Technology.
Stewart believes that he is well equipped to deliver a comprehensive entertainment programme that touches relevant issues in the world of reggae, dancehall and gospel music.
REP boss and radio producer, Andrew Lee Pryce, believes the show will connect with audiences all over the country.
"I plan to bring youthfulness and exuberance to the airwaves while sending a positive message, empowering the youths of today who will lead this country tomorrow, and I will use entertainment as that medium," Pryce said.
"We will be doing an up-and-coming artiste feature, a real spin-off feature, interviews, giveaways and, most importantly, is our REP-VIBZ concert for up-and-coming artistes in May, where artiste will get a chance to showcase their talent during a four-hour live outside broadcast."
REP-VIBZ will have an exclusive interview with veteran reggae artiste Charlie Chaplin this month.
