Dancehall artiste Popcaan shares letter he wrote to God

March 10, 2016

"Wicked, wicked, wicked" is what he says but there is more to dancehall artiste Popcaan, than meets the eye.

The Weed Is My Best Friend deejay, took to Instgram to share a letter he penned to God while he was just a young boy in primary school.

"Dear God, I know you are fine. I'm asking you please to let me prosper in life. And please Lord let my grandmother and grandfather live to inherit whatever I get in life. Lord please  let my big brother and sister do inherit what I get also. I am asking you to open my brain in school to take whatever I get in school. Lord I look to you one more time. Let even my mother and father inherit too Lord. This is my prayer. Your son, Andrae Sutherland," the heartfelt prayer read.

The post also bore a touching caption.

"I wrote this prayer when I was going to primary school.. My grandma found it in one of my books the other day while cleaning her house. I jus want to say God is real and he did answer that prayer I pray to him a long time ago #givethanks," he wrote.

Certainly, his prayers didn't go unanswered as he is one of the leading dancehall acts today.
