Strictly Addi goes to the beach
Fans of incarcerated dancehall icon Vybz Kartel will not have to wait much longer for another event dedicated to the self-proclaimed 'Worl' Boss', as Strictly Addi returns on June 25.
The event, which is now celebrating its third anniversary, has drawn fans from far and wide. Now, with a patronage too big for any local club, the promoters have decided to - like Vybz Kartel - show versatility and move the event to the beach.
"Over the past two stagings, Strictly Addi has grown tremendously," said Gabrielle Curling of JEM Entertainment, promoters for the event. "The patrons kept asking for a bigger venue and a more secure venue, and as event organisers, it's important to always deliver to our loyal patrons. Summer is fast approaching, and one of the Teacha's many hit songs was Summertime. So as Addi said, if a even the beach, we affi reach."
The promoters have promised high energy and a variety of non-stop Vybz Kartel music. "We have always provided strictly the best in entertainment, and patrons can expect nothing less on the beach," said Marc Hines of JEM Entertainment. "We are pulling out all the stops in bringing the concept 'night beach' to life. The event will be beach drinks inclusive and will feature top DJs. Strictly Addi is certainly going to be the party of the summer."
