New York-based reggae singer Tom Laing recently released the second single from his EP titled Love Is Ok. The track that he has chosen is a soulful ballad titled Prayer.

The song, produced by veteran musician Donni Marshall, was officially released to radio last week.

"This the first time I've put a song like this, most of my releases were either love songs or songs about life in the streets. Prayer is different because I'm in a more meditative mood on this track," said Laing.

Tom Laing launched his recording career in 2006 with the release of a single titled Feel the Vibes.

Over the past three years, the easy-going artiste, who originally hails from Trench Town in Kingston, Jamaica, has released an impressive string of hits.

His ability to pen and record potent lovers rock and roots reggae tracks has earned him quite a reputation on the New York reggae scene, where he is hailed by many music industry insiders as one of the best new voices in reggae.

Tom Laing recently cracked the Top 10 of the Jamaica Music Countdown Top 25 Reggae Singles Chart with the title track off his EP Love Is Ok, featuring Myrrh-Cedez Gayle.
