I LOVE MY WEIGHT …Spice blasts persons for calling her fat

April 15, 2016

Dancehall artiste Spice is hitting back at critics who have sought to post negative things about her weight on social media following an incident during one of her performances at a show in the United States last week.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, the 'Stage Show Boss' was challenged by a photographer as she executed her performance. The photographer took the stage and attempted to dance with the deejay, lifting her off the ground. While this is something that is done regularly by other artistes, it did not go down well this time around as the male participant broke his leg while attempting to hoist the entertainer in the air.

The video of the incident has caused quite a stir on social media, with persons blaming Spice for the photographer's misfortune.

"Didn't he see the size of those overweight thunder thighs?" one user questioned. "Spice body did too 'trong fi him. She lucky him nuh sue har," another posted.

However, the artiste has responded to her critics by stating that she is very comfortable in her own skin.

"I'm extremely comfortable in my own skin. Those exact same persons who are fat, shaming me will be the same ones who will have much to say if I get extremely slim, so I normally don't get fazed by criticism. Trust me! I'm in love with my weight." she said.

She also sought to address questions on whether she would be offering any financial assistance to the photographer to offset medical expenses following the incident.

"He already paid for his medical expenses and has left the hospital, but if it was a case where he needed financial help, I would have definitely helped out," she said.

But in an interview with THE WEEKEND STAR, Spice said she is simply annoyed by the negative feedback relating to the actual incident and her weight.

"People just totally blew it out of proportion. He told me he had a problem with his knee before and we chatted and laughed over the whole thing," she said.

And despite what detractors have to say, Spice said the photographer is already ready for a rematch.

"I just heard from the party promoter that the photographer is requesting a rematch in August, and I will return to give him his heart's desire. I guess he wants back his street credibility, but he still won't win again," she told THE WEEKEND STAR.
