Richie Innocent for Agro Festival
Richie Innocent is looking forward to his upcoming appearance at the sixth annual Dis Poem, Word and Agro Festival at the College of Agriculture Science and Education in Portland on April 24.
"I am happy that Ras Takura has invited me again to be a part of his event, this will be my second appearance. I received a wonderful response from the audience last year, and I am looking forward to an even greater response this year," said Richie Innocent.
The hard-working dub poet, born Richard Robinson, recently completed a promotional tour of New York. While in the Big Apple, he made guest appearances at events held at the African Poetry Theatre in Queens, Stony Brook University, and the Nuyorican Poets Cafe.
"I was invited by my friends in the spoken-word community in New York to make guest appearances at a series of events. I had a great time performing over there. I also did several radio interviews during my trip," he revealed.
Since returning, Richie Innocent has been working on new projects including a music video for his single, Hills Mi Deh. The video, shot last month under the direction of New York-based director Marlon Wright of Tun It Up Radio.com and Cyberleaf Production, will be released in June.
