Patrons who turn out at Tuff Gong and Fontana Pharmacy will benefit from special deals on all records distributed by the label founded by reggae legend Bob Marley.

Tuff Gong International has been the largest music distributor in the Caribbean for more than two decades, through partnerships with Warner Music, Universal Music Group, and Disney Music Group.

"On Saturday (tomorrow), from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuff Gong, which is located at 220 Marcus Garvey Drive Kingston 11, and Fontana Pharmacy, Barbican will offer a special one-day sale on CDs, 45s, and LPs from Bob Marley, Bob Marley and Wailers, The Melody Makers, and several recording artistes distributed by Tuff Gong International. Fontana Pharmacy will offer patrons a special in-store experience in its capacity as one of the official distributors of music for Tuff Gong International and Bob Marley merchandise. Customers who purchase records over J$2,500 can use their receipts to access a tour of Tuff Gong International," Debbie Bissoon, brand manager at Bob Marley Group of Companies told The STAR.

The first International Record Store Day took place on April 19, 2008. However, there are now International Record Store Day celebrations on every continent except Antarctica.

"Record Store Day is for all lovers of music, players of music and collectors of music who are able to appreciate the history of the making of the music and the evolution thereof. We are happy to be part of the worldwide celebration of International Record Store Day," Bissoon said.
