Noface Unknown scores with 'Tank Up'
Dancehall artiste Noface Unknown is gaining traction with his new hit song, 'Tank Up', which is generating a lot of airplay on FM radio and in the streets.
"The feedback has been incredible so far; crazy tweets and feedback on social media, especially Facebook. Dem love the image and the concept, and the flavour," Noface Unknown said.
The single, which is generating thousands of views per day on YouTube, has hit the FIWI Choice Top Ten charts as well. He appeared on 'CVM at Sunrise' during their 'Fresh on the Block' feature, where he clashed with Ninja Man live on air. A video of the clash went viral on social media a few days later.
He will be releasing a video for the single next week on all cable channels and online outlets. Other singles to watch for include Watch Yu Teeth and Happy Like This.
"The name Noface is symbolic to the direction I'm taking my career. No face, no ego, no doubt. Tank Up!!" he said, explaining his reason for using the moniker Noface Unknown.
As his songs gain momentum, this new image has generated a lot of talk on social media, from detractors and supporters alike.
"People are curious about who is under the mask. Some ah bun mi out say ah some evil ting, others love the concept. Right now, mi see people all a copy the mask ting already, right now, the ting up inna the streets, from MoBay to Kingston," said the artiste who is from Montego Bay, St James.
