St Paul releases Candy Bar
International reggae artiste St Paul recently released his latest single, 'Candy Bar', produced on his own recording label, Saint Paul Music Connection, SPMC, based in Atlanta, Georgia.
The single, which is an upbeat reggae dancehall song, is testament to St Paul's versatility as he is mostly known as an inspirational reggae and gospel artiste, locally and worldwide.
St Paul, whose real name is Paul Allen and who originates from St James, is no stranger to the music industry. In recent years, he has produced singles such as Stranger In Town and Dreamer, and has performed at events in countries such as Guyana, St Lucia and other Caribbean islands, and the USA.
"My fans are delighted by this new release, Candy Bar, as I have been doing mostly inspirational music throughout most of my career. However, I do believe that variety is the spice of life, and, as such, it is important as an artiste to be fluid and exhibit some level of versatility, thus increasing marketability. The single is doing really well oversees and I expect the same to happen here in Jamaica, so I'm looking forward to the response," St Paul said.
A video for Candy Bar has since been shot and released on YouTube, and will be subsequently released on local and international television stations.
