Ricky Teetz nabs I Octane collab
Fast-rising dancehall artiste Rickey Teetz has landed a major collaboration with dancehall star I-Octane.
The single, Holding Firm, is produced by ZJ Dymond and released a week ago on the Full Chaarge Records label to rave reviews from music critics and fans.
"The song is about never giving up regardless of where you come from or what's going on in your life.
"The feedback from this collaboration has been spectacular so far, and the fans say this a genuine song that they can relate to," Rickey Teetz said.
I-Octane will be touring England this month. Rickey Teetz will be performing at Orange Dancehall Queen tomorrow and Crab Fest on May 21 at Pier One, St James.
Last year was a productive one for Rickey Teetz as he made his second consecutive performance at Dancehall Night at the prestigious Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay. He also made his debut at Sting at Jamworld in Portmore in December.
Rickey Teetz is known for songs such as Tip Yuh, which has generated more than a million hits on YouTube, as well as dancehall favourites, Nah Go Talk, and 6:30 Walk. He also got excellent rotation on radio with Thug Luv last year.
Known for his street-hustler anthems and fashion swag, Teetz emerged as one of the top dancehall prospects in the industry in 2015.
"Right now we are gearing up for a busy summer because the shows are coming in, and the song, Holding Firm, is picking up steam in the Caribbean," he said.
