Quick Cook, 3-y-o son collab on single
Dancehall artiste Quick Cook has inked a booking and management deal with veteran selector DJ Wayne's label, Purple Skunkz Entertainment, and is ready for summer. Known for his comedic slangs, Quick Cook told THE STAR that his career in the music business is looking increasingly productive.
The deejay recently launched his own record label called Bread Organisation and is now promoting a new single, featuring his three-year-old son Baby Fast, called Party. The song will officially be released in June and will be distributed by Hapilos Entertainment.
"Baby Fast might be young, but he already shows the right energy for the music, and I get a musical feeling from him. He already has a heavy voice, so that is why I decided to put him on the track," he said.
The deejay is already booked for several events scheduled for the summer period and plans to use the events to win over new fans. "I am getting major attention on the streets and radio. When it comes to overseas, their ears are very much locked to Quick Cook, especially in Africa, New York and Miami. The comments on YouTube are positive as well and are very encouraging," he told THE STAR.
Quick Cook is currently working with a string of successful local record labels, including Good Good Productions, Star Struck Music, Konsequence Music and Friends For Real.
"Purple Skunk dem a do mi management and bookings right now and things a look great. I want the fans to continue supporting my music because I do positive songs that make people happy. If you listen to my music, you will see that it is clean an uplifting," he said.
"The summer looks well bad. I will be working at events like Summer Swag in Ocho Rios, Waterhouse Comes Alive and Gully Feva in Kingston; and I have two shows in Queens, New York, and one in New Jersey. Quick Quick Quick Quick Quick. No wet bread," he said.
