Tommy B buzzing with Reality
Reggae singer Tommy B, aka Sticka Lightening, is ready to take his career to new heights in the local music industry.
The humble Rastafarian singer who hails from Clarendon is known for songs such as Friday Gal (Roaring Lion Productions), Victims Prayer (Fire Wayne Productions), Want Food and Wa Dem Fighting Fa (Royal Records).
Tommy B is currently enjoying much attention with a brand, new single titled, Reality.
The song, which was produced by popular dancehall artiste Kashu and released by Am Strong Production/Move Up Records, is currently enjoying heavy rotation both locally and abroad.
"Things are looking very bright for my career; my new single is getting a lot of airplay. The feedback I'm getting about it is fantastic. Right now, I'm looking forward to great things in 2016. I've added some new people to my management team, and everyone is working very hard to make sure that Tommy B becomes a household name in the music business," said the artiste.
The Clarendon-born singjay, whose real name is Austin Johnson, is a past student of Garvey Maceo High School.
Tommy B began his music career in 1995. After spending several years recording for various producers, he made his breakthrough in 2004 with a song titled Friday Gal, which was produced by veteran reggae singer Cocoa Tea.
"I've paid my dues, and now it's my time to shine. I'm ready to take my career all the way to the top," said Tommy B.
Over the years, he has also performed on major local shows such as Spring Break, Jam Jam, and the GT Taylor Christmas Extravaganza.
