Chatta looks to bright future
Chatta is looking forward to a bright future in music. The hard-working Canadian singjay will release a new single titled 'Murderah'.
The hard-hitting song, which addresses the killing of young, black males in North America and other parts of the world, was produced by the US-based label Darshan Records.
"I feel duty-bound as an artiste to use my music to highlight the oppression that our young black males are facing worldwide. We have to talk about what's going on. Too many young black men are being killed by the police."
Murderah will be released on all major digital music platforms next month. A video is in the works for the song.
"The video was shot on Tuesday. It's being edited. I'm looking forward to seeing the final cut," she said.
Chatta recently performed at the Reggae Divas concert that was held on May 2 at the Jamaican-Canadian Association in Toronto, Canada.
"The overall vibes of the show were very good. It was very nice to see so many people come out in support of female reggae and dancehall artistes," said Chatta.
