German wine taking over
United States-based dancehall artiste German wants to shake up the world of dancehall with her hot, new single, German Wine.
"Most people say I remind them of a young Lady Saw because of my raunchy lyrics and tone, so I am coming to show what I can do," she said confidently.
Born Theresa St John on November 2 in Kingston, she grew up in the Mountain View area of Kingston. Growing up, she developed a reputation for her signature dance moves and her unique tone. Her friends dubbed her 'German', and the name stuck.
German stayed away from music for years after becoming a mother at a very young age. Now, she is ready to pursue her dream. She is pushing her solo career, working with her new team - her publicist Music Embassies and her PR, Heartical Fashion.
She is planning to do collaborations with artistes Dimon Treajah and Max Element. She is planning to shoot a new video for German Wine, produced by WD music production.
German is also promoting another single called War Dem Want, produced by Gothic Entertainment, which is available for digital distribution on iTunes.
"I am just looking towards promoting myself and my style of music to the Jamaican people and looking to get a great response form my peeps," she said.
The saucy artiste arrived in Jamaica recently and made an appearance at Live Bands Thursday at the popular Jungle Fyah Lounge in Bayside, Portmore. She was also at the Edgewater Courtball last Friday at the Edgewater basketball court in Portmore.
