MKQ names Loud Fashion winner
Organisers of the Magnum Kings and Queens (MKQ) of Dancehall talent will announce the Loud Fashion winner at tomorrow's final show. The winner will get $150,000.
The fashion segment has been part of the live show as fashion plays a major role in the dancehall culture. This season, 11 local designers showcased approximately 10 avant-garde inspired pieces under a 'Brazen' theme.
Natalie Parboosingh, fashion show choreographer and MKQ producer, said the team had a tough time deliberating over the entries due to the high quality of entrants, but the deserving winner was chosen.
"We asked the designers to come out this season with their best avant-garde designs and were more than pleased with the level of creativity displayed. This season, we definitely stepped up the fashion segment, not only with the fashion designs, but with the choreography and music according to viewer feedback," Parboosingh said.
The final show takes place at Breezy Castle, downtown Kingston. It will be powerful clashes between princes Zigma and Accid and princesses Clymaxx and Mi Ya Estro. The after-show for the event will include performances by Bounty Killer, Nesbeth, Razor B, Tanto Blacks, Triple A, and Devin Di Dakta.
