TJ Records and Romeich Entertainment, hosts of the recent staging of Smudge, Vybz Kartel Album Party, club edition, made an impressive showing at The Hive, formerly Famous Nightclub, in Portmore, St Catherine.

The crowd support was good as patrons moved in to fill the large venue by 2 a.m.THE STAR was on hand hours before and watched as party enthusiasts streamed in to get a comfortable spot and party the night away.

The promoters kept musical selectors for the event in suspense. However, ZJ Chrome, JR Chromatic, ZJ Liquid and Di Unit did not disappoint. Patrons were treated to new and popular hit music from incarcerated deejay Vybz Kartel as the staging of Smudge was seemingly dedicated to him.

Other entertainers whose songs struck a chord with the masses were Popcaan, Nesbeth, Vershon and Masicka.

Female patrons danced up a storm in the DJs' version of 'gyal segment', especially when music from Spice was selected.

Smudge was a perfect blend, with drinks, the atmosphere and contemporary music from all genres.

Promoter Linton 'TJ' White of TJ Records told THE STAR he appreciated the response from the public.

"Thanks for coming and respect to THE STAR for coverage. Thanks to the patrons for turning out as well. King of the Dancehall, Vybz Kartel's new album, is now available," White said.
