New acts added to Philly Jerk Fest line-up
As plans for the second staging of the Philadelphia Jerk Festival moves into high gear, Jabari Productions, promoters of the event, have announced new additions to the line-up of performers.
Deejay Don Andre, who recently topped the charts with Tom Cruise, dancehall duo Voicemail, gospel artiste Omari, veteran deejay Lady G, Raine Seville, newcomer Ky-Enie and popular emcee Nuffy are the recent additions.
They join previously announced performers Agent Sasco, aka 'Assassin', Luciano, and Leadpipe and Saddis.
Scheduled to take place at the spacious Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on Sunday, August 28, the annual festival promises to be a fun-filled day of activities for families with a full concert experience.
Apart from the performances, patrons will have their palates tantalised with a wide range of food, desserts and beverages from vendors who will be travelling to Philadelphia from along the East Coast. Several of the region's top chefs, restaurants and food trucks will have a presence at the festival, delivering delicacies from as far away as Africa to the Caribbean.
Clinton Garibaldi, president of Jabari Productions, has promised that patrons will be in for a treat, musically. He also thanked the sponsors who have come on board to support the event.
"We are pleased to partner with supportive sponsors, including returning sponsor Western Union. Thanks to all those who have partnered with us to make this event possible," said Garibaldi.
Reggae Vibrations and DJ Prince Royal will provide musical delights for patrons attending the jerk festival.
