Promoters gear up for Purple Slush
Summer is here and the promoters of Purple Slush are out in their numbers in eastern Jamaica.
The event, slated for July 23 at Colonel Cove in Morant Bay, St Thomas, promises a day filled with excitement and fun. The day's events, featuring several rides inclusive of zip lines, trampolines, Ferris wheels, water slides, bounce-a-bouts, a merry-go-round, and a electronic gaming lounge, to name a few, kick off at 10 a.m.
The organisers, G2V Entertainment, said: "This is going to be a one-of-a-kind family fun day. For as low as $400, patrons can come in and ride all day."
To top off this exclusive deal, the promoters have also added a talent showcase to the day's activities. With the assistance of several primary and high schools in St Thomas, Portland, and St Mary, student participants can enter dancing, singing, and deejay competitions, where they can win cash and prizes valued at over $150,000!
The organisers added: "This event is really about giving back as well as assisting in the growth and development of new talent."
The competitions will be judged by dancing sensation John Hype and recording artiste Devin Di Dakta.
Its the second staging of Purple Slush and it will feature DJ Murphy, the winner of the SunCity High School Disc Jock Competition alongside Coppershot, Richie Feelings, DJ Game Girl, Generation 2Vexx from Canada, and Supreme Sound, Ravers Movement, and Irie Sound from St Thomas.
