Sound systems have been the backbone for several Jamaican artistes and their music.

Throughout the years, several young talents have grown to love the art of selecting and delivering music to events that cater to thousands of Jamaicans.

DJs Cardo and Ruxie of CD Fantasy are two young talents who have been creating waves in the streets as they look toward a bright future.

They are known as the resident selectors/disc jocks for events such as 'Big Daddy Mondays' in Tower Hill; 'Side Chick Tuesdays' at Pilly Blacks Plaza, Olympic Way, and their very own 'Magnum Wednesdays' on Payne Avenue. "These events are just a few of the events we dominate; we are being booked for events all over Jamaica, and recently we visited St Martin for another great show," said DJ Ruxie.

Ruxie, who hails from Payne Avenue, Kingston 11, has been pursuing music for more than five years through the influences of Bredda from Lover's Choice, Sadiki, Boom Boom, and Fire Linkz. DJ Cardo, on the other hand, hails from Waltham Park and has been pursuing music for five years.

"We are different but we complement each other because we have good work chemistry. It comes down to a mixture of how we prepare and how we deliver," Cardo shared.

The selectors work alongside DJ Sprat, DJ Kongry, and Mario, under the guidance of Crazy Bling of CD Fantasy. The team's focus is to remain on top and to help encourage other young talents of the same nature.
