The Minx rhythm, which features local stars and up-and-coming acts, has been released on iTunes to rave reviews from dancehall fans and music critics alike.

"The rhythm was released over a month ago and we're getting a great feedback from the streets. The rhytm is on over 20 mix tapes, plus radio disc jocks like Big A, DJ Wayne, Ice, Elektra and others have been giving it good rotation," producer Michael Bell, one half the Brukkout Production label, said.

The rhythm project is the brainchild of Bell and his partner, New York-based producer Dorian Besson.

Craigy T, former front man for the group TOK, leads out the rhythm with Baad a Yaad, where he informs the dancehall girls that they have to perform in the bedroom as well as in dancehall. Controversial singjay Chin Chin teams up with CR for Cock Up And Wine, where she boasts about her prowess in the bedroom.

Newcomers like Dolli and Kevanii have good chemistry on Mek Mi Cum. Fambo and Beenie Man team up for Drunken Party, arguably the best song on the project, as they recreate that party atmosphere that has made Kingston one of the party capitals of the world.

Macka Diamond shows that she is one of the best recording artistes - male or female - with the brilliantly delivered Shake. She delivers hard-hitting lyrics and the girls will love the line 'go up, shake it like a hydraulic shock' .

Leftside is brilliant with Ms Goody Goody while newcomer 77 Flash brings the swagger with Dancehall Fiesta. Gappy Ranks rounds out the project with WAG, which gives the rhythm an international feel with a brilliant singalong chorus that will rock dancehalls from Africa to Europe.
