Team Shella is definitely here for the long run as the sound system team led by DJs Ikel Marvlus and Flabba Dabba are proving to be a force in dancehall.

Fresh from their return to Jamaica after a successful stint in Canada, Team Shella has picked up where they left off at Reggae Sumfest 2016.

Arguably one of the most sought-after sound teams in Jamaica today, the squad says it is in it for the long haul and will be taking steps to cement its brand.

The lead duo, alongside young protege DJ squeak, held their own in Toronto, Canada at the Blue Diamond banquet Hall.

"It was an '80s and '90s event called Shelly-Ann with guest artiste Frisco Kid. The experience was a blast and the patrons were excited to see Team Shella playing retro music," Ikel told THE STAR, adding that the group was well received to the point where they were crowned in Canada as legit retro DJs. "The tempo turn up since we ignite the Sumfest stage, and then we go straight a Toronto go showcase we God-given talents. Di people dem show we crazy love, so mi know we will be back in Canada soon."

Team Shella members, rounded out with DJ News and Andell, is booked for the remainder of the summer, heading into the last quarter of 2016.

Events across St Catherine, Kingston and St Andrew such as Bembe Style, Dani Boo Birthday celebration, Magnum Beach O Rama and Instahype are where fans can catch up with the Team Shella squad.
