Jahman releases 'Time To Show'
Singer Jahman has released his latest single 'Time To Show'. It was produced by Jon FX Music.
Originally from St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, Jahman (real name Jabari Carrington) said his love for reggae music began at an early age.
"I was introduced from a very young age, hearing my dad play Peter Tosh, Burning Spear, and Steel Pulse in the home. But what really sold me was when I heard the song What The Hell The Police Can Do by Echo Minott and I was totally blown away," Jahman recalled.
He spoke about his musical journey. "My musical journey is my life. That is what I live ... quite frankly, I'm just a vessel for the Most High. He decides what I do, where I go, what I write and sing. Without Him I'm no one."
Jahman said fans back home in the US Virgin Islands are like family. They have consistently supported his music over the years. He explained the inspiration behind Time To Show.
"I was listening to some tracks and the producer said what would you do with this, and I kid you not, the first thing that came off my tongue was the intro. But the topic and words was created around the fact that my dad and some of my siblings where all from Trinidad where I was soon about to visit ... so I said what better homecoming gift than to just put something together musically," Jahman explained.
Jahman has worked with Jamaican producers, including the late Phillip 'Fattis' Burrell, Sly and Robbie, Earl 'Chinna' Smith, and Danny Biggs.
Jahman has been writing and performing for more than a decade. He has toured the US East Coast with singer Richie Spice and he has opened shows for Morgan Heritage.
To date, he has released five studio albums.
