Surprise artiste for Footloose
On Saturday, Mas Camp at Stadium North will come alive with the 10th anniversary edition of the popular retro party series 'Footloose'.
Promoted by Broadway Productions and held four times annually, this edition will feature a surprise performance from a top entertainer from the 1990s.
"We wanted to bring a different element to this edition seeing that it's our 10th anniversary. I won't say who the performer will be, you just have to come out and see for yourself," promoter Tyrone Dixon said.
Footloose was first held in March 2006. Dixon says the event has evolved over the 10 years. "Our first event was held at the Chinese Benevolent Association with only 200 patrons. We have grown to attract in excess of 5,000 patrons at each staging," he revealed.
Patrons can expect the usual great retro music from top flight disc jocks and many surprises throughout the night.
Dixon spoke about the highlight of the series over the 10 years. "The highlight for me was Beenie Man performing at the August 2015 edition. That was a Footloose moment I will never forget," he said.
Ladies are two for one before midnight. Tickets cost $1,000 in advance and $1,200 at the gate.
