Up-and-coming female dancehall artiste Lady Rage is promoting a new single titled Hot Type produced by Cornelius Records.

The song has been receiving steady rotation on radio stations in several Caribbean countries and the artiste believes it has hit potential.

"The feedback I get from the song is unbelievable. When I was recording the project I had a feeling that it was a good song, but I didn't know it would be so highly loved by the people. The inspiration is based on the way I carry my self and it feels good that my dream is coming through," she said.

Lady Rage who now shares the same recording stable as high riding deejay Savage, also expressed that her team is focused on building her brand in dancehall.

"At this point in time it is not hard for me to get a breakthrough. With a person like Cornelius being my manager it's like no mistake was made because he make everything as easy as the snap of a finger. My team gives me the reason to say its my time to shine," Rage said.

Dancehall is known to be a male-dominated space with only a few female artistes surviving the test of time. However Rage thinks her music will set her apart from her peers.

"I am bringing a different style to the industry being a little sexy, edgy and classy at the same time. I dare to be different and fans of dancehall should support my music because I am one of those females that would never get you bored for a second and I am a breath of fresh air," she said.

Rage prides herself on her ability to both sing and deejay and hopes her versatility will get her the elusive break into the competitive mainstream dancehall scene.
