Jamaica-born rapper IQ is set to release a new 'diss' track called 'Hip Hop Mail' in September.

The title of the single is a play on words as the artiste sought to send a message to several major hip hop artistes in the industry. Hip Hop Mail is produced by Pappi O on the Hip-Hop Reggae Beats rhythm, which has a one drop flavour.

The up-and-coming rapper smoothly passes 'disses' on to his industry peers namely, Jay Z, Kanye, Big Sean, Rick Ross and a host of other players. The single finds IQ switching things up while rapping, adding his Jamaican flavour.

"I am fairly new to the game so I will show homage, but at the same time, I won't back down. I have to show other rappers that I am a force to be reckoned with," he said.

IQ, who was born in Discovery Bay, St Ann, derived his musical inspiration from his father Genius Qunick, Bob Marley and Gregory Isaacs. He presently resides in the United States, but believes that his music will create waves both on the local and international scenes.

He has decided to kick off his first promotional tour in November and, soon after, he intends to release his first album Over Night Success in December.

The artiste is also set to visit Jamaica to work with several Jamaican producers and promoters. IQ can be followed on Twitter @ivinqunick, Facebook: Ivin Qunick and on YouTube: Ivin Qunick.
