Embee salutes athletes with 'Olympic Star'
Rising deejay Embee Di Quefa salutes the achievements of Jamaica's Olympians with his latest single, 'Olympic Star'. The song is produced by Jaz9ine Music/Andre Golden Records.
Embee explained how the idea for the song came about.
"Knowing in myself that I am a star and have the faith and the endurance to shine my light, and knowing that Jamaicans like myself accomplished all those achievements at the last Olympics. I got the inspiration from seeing the great achievements by our athletes," said Embee.
The artiste is quite upbeat about the response to the song. "I've been getting great response since it's been released. It got over 18,000 views on YouTube in its first week. People in the streets of Jamaica are gravitating to the song and overseas people as well, like in New Jersey," said Embee.
He said the highlight of the 2016 Rio Olympics was seeing his fellow Jamaicans excel.
Embee describes himself as hard-working and that he intends to bring something different to the table musically.
Born Gregory Charles Bennett, he was raised in west Kingston. To date he has recorded for producers Caper, Andrew Blaxx, Hall of Fame Records, 3R40 Records, Andre Golding Records and Jaz9ine Music, to which he is signed.
His forthcoming releases include Golden Moment, Dream to Reality and No Need to Bad Mind.
