Ranoy Gordon drops new video
Singer and musician Ranoy Gordon has released his latest single, Best Friend, which he produced.
"When I was growing up, there was this girl that moved to my community and we became best friends. I fell in love with her, but decided to keep it to myself. Years later, I decided to write a song about how I would tell her how I felt," Gordon explained.
A video accompanying the song was directed by Krystle Karee and Nickii Kane.
"Both the song and video have been receiving positive feedback, everyone who listens to this song loves it," said Gordon.
Music has always been a part of Gordon's life. Originally from St Mary, his father played the guitar, while his mother wrote songs. After studying music at the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts, he toured as a musician in Stephen Marley's band. He also toured with Damian Marley's band.
Gordon is a former guitarist with the C-Sharpe band. He also did a stint as guitarist with Further Notice band, which later evolved into Notice Production.
"I worked on some projects with Notice Production, including Heart and Soul riddim and Instransit riddim," said Gordon.
Asked what he brings to the table musically, Gordon said, "My music comes from a place of deep emotion, it's relateble and has a certain level of honesty about things that people might find hard to put into words. If you love R&B and reggae, you will love my music."
Gordon is set to drop his next single titled All My Heart.
