Notorious JA fires 'shots' at warring deejays
Fast-rising dancehall artiste Notorious JA is working overtime to create a niche for himself on the local music scene.
The hard-working deejay who originally hails from Clarendon recently released a controversial new single titled One Bag a Witch A War.
The song, which was produced by Notorious JA for Victorious Productions, features the artiste firing lyrical shots at several big name dancehall acts including Mavado, Alkaline and Popcaan.
One Bag a Witch A War was released three weeks ago. Since then it has been making a big impact on the dancehall circuit.
"I'm getting a lot of positive reviews about this song; people tell me they love the lyrics because the things I'm talking about are real. It's time full time all these big dancehall artistes to stop dissing each other because it's not helping the music to grow. I know a lot of people are afraid to tell them, but I'm not," said Notorious JA.
Notorious JA is also getting ready for the staging of his event called VIP Settings, which is slated to take place on October 15 at Antarage HQ in Race Track, Clarendon.
This event will feature performances from Notorious JA, Kashu, Country Tiger and Slaughter House alongside Victorious Sound.
"Although I live in the States, I never forget where I am from, so I keeping this event for my peeps in Racecourse. It's going to be big," he said.
The no-nonsense deejay was recently on the island for a month-long promotional tour in support of his single titled Can't Stop Me.
