Demarco, Kartel rack up the views
Dancehall star Demarco is ecstatic over the public's reaction to his latest single, 'Miracle', a collaboration with superstar deejay Vybz Kartel and Keda. The video for the single has racked up an impressive 450,000 views in the four days since its release.
"The video went viral the first day with over 200,000 views, and it has been just crushing everything else over the past few days. Right now, social media ah blow up with this song, the video shot; Vybz Kartel and Demarco beat dem again," Demarco said.
The video was directed and edited by True Gift Entertainment. The comedic video centres around a scammer whose obeah services are contracted by a client to get rid of Vybz Kartel. There are a few comedic moments when the client reveals that he wants 'hits on the chart' as the reason to get rid of the Worl' Boss. This forces the scammer to give the client the 'hits', literally with a cricket bat while admonishing "this ah give yu Fame, this ah go mek yu Irie, a whole heap of Hitz, hold that bwoy".
Demarco represents the Gaza hard on the single, and people in the streets are hinting at a definite entente between the Gaza and the Bun Up Finga gang. Newcomer Keda samples the hook from R&B star Deniece Williams' hit song, Gonna Take a Miracle, to complete the song. The single was produced by TJ Records.
The Puppytail deejay is getting a major international boost with the release of the upbeat single, Feeling U,which is featured on the album of Jamaican DJ KickRaux and Ras Kwame.
The uptempo track also features rap heavyweights like Ayo Jay, Doctor and Tyga.
