According to the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the JCDC, Stephen Davidson, the two competitions will allow Jamaicans and Jamaican language enthusiasts from far and wide to try their hand at two of Maas Ran's greatest crafts, while celebrating the legacy of this theatrical great.

Persons interested in entering the Gi Joke Like Maas Ran competition should send a video clip of one minute or less, telling an original Jamaican Joke to info@jcdc.gov.jm by November 11, 2016. The entries will be posted on the JCDC's Facebook page, where the video with the most likes will win $30,000.

The JCDC's Kingston and St Andrew Parish Office will also partner with Airports Authority of Jamaica to host a lunch hour tribute concert at the Norman Manley International Airport today at noon.

The concert features outstanding performers from the JCDC National Festival of the Performing Arts Competition, the Miss Kingston & St Andrew Festival Queen 2016, Shanique Shand, and others. There will also be a display on Williams life and work.
