Mr Vegas rocks 4 Seasons Cruise
Internationally acclaimed dancehall artiste Mr Vegas was in fine form when he performed on the recent 4 Seasons Party Cruise.
The performance took place on-board a Caribbean Cruiseliner which travelled from Florida to the Dominican Republic and the Turks and Caicos over a five-day period. Appearing onstage at 2 a.m. on the second night of the cruise, he held the audience totally captivated with songs such as I Am Blessed, Hear My Cry Oh Lord and What A Mighty God We Serve.
After declaring that he is proud of the work he has done as a dancehall artiste over the past 19 years, Vegas turned up the heat by delivering some of his biggest hits, including Heads High, Go Up, and Pull Up. Midway his performance, he segued into reggae, which included Bob Marley's Three Little Birds, and he paid homage to Alton Ellis by performing some of the late pioneer's biggest hits. He performed his own reggae recordings, including Sweet Jamaica and Do You Know.
It was time for the dancing segment and Vegas started it off with a rendition of Ska Ska Ska, before turning things over to DJ Star. As is now customary, Vegas went into praise and worship before finishing his performance. He had everyone in the house singing and waving as he performed Nobody Greater. The intensity increased as he spoke about his journey before singing Break Every Chain. Vegas closed his set with his new dancehall gospel track, Row the Boat.
"Performing on the 4 Seasons Cruise was an awesome experience. The audience showed me a lot of love, and I am happy that I was able to share my message with them and lift their spirits," said Vegas. He is currently getting ready to drop his first gospel album, Soul Therapy, scheduled to be released early 2017.
