After two-year hiatus, German fans welcome Ce’Cile back
The original dancehall 'bad gyal' Ce'Cile is currently during a series of shows in Europe to promote her single 'Push It' that hit the top of German charts in September.
The single, done with DJ Climex, was the number one Top 40 single on the German Urban Chart, giving the entertainer her second number one single on the chart, following the success of Hot like We almost a decade ago.
This tour, that began just over a week ago, will be see performances at urban nightclubs in Germany and Austria. It is hoped that her presence in Germany will keep the song's momentum going well into the new year.
So far, things have been going well. Well received performances so far in a club called Blondes in Merzig, and two last Friday night at Neo in Osnabruck and another in Oeynhausen, have pleased the entertainer, who enjoys a strong following in Bavaria.
"So far, it's okay," she told THE STAR of the tour. "The biggest audience was at Club Neo. The vibe was good. It was a short set, 20 minutes, of just doing the old hits and performing the new one."
Ce'Cile, who was last in Germany two years ago, said the audiences have changed somewhat, but what has surprised her most is that Hot Like We still resonates well among her many fans.
She has a number of other shows on her schedule, including stops at Index nightclub in Schuttorf on November 26 and Parkhotel in Wiesbaden on November 27.
She is also booked to perform in Austria-Linz on December 2 and at The Village in Dortmund on December 3.
