THE STAR celebrated its 65th anniversary yesterday, and the King of the Dancehall took a trip down to our North Street office to share in the historic occasion.

As he reflected on the first time he was interviewed by THE STAR, the entertainer said the paper holds a special place in his heart as it has been around for some of the most iconic moments in his career.

He thanked the newspaper and the journalists for being there since 1987 when he made his first appearance at the annual concerts that used to be held on the roof of the North Street-based tabloid to 2016 when he still graces the pages of the publication.
