Ce'Cile looks to 'Set It' with new track
As she continues to broaden the reach of her music internationally, reggae/dancehall entertainer and recording artiste Ce'Cile has revealed that recording music for producers outside of Jamaica is helping her achieve her goal.
Her new single, Set It, is the latest example of that effort. The song that was a production of DJ Fly from Martinique recently peaked at number four on the iTunes French Top 100 charts.
"It's doing really, really well in the French territories," said Ce'Cile, who is currently performing in a series of nightclub shows in Germany and Austria.
"I guess [it is] because the video has been added to Trace TV, Trace Urban, which is a very popular station in the French territories, so I am happy about that."
The video was shot in St Maarten.
Ce'Cile also revealed that she is currently working on a remix for the song and that she has two other songs coming from the same producer as she continues to break into new markets.
"What I have always done is expand my reach by strategically recording for producers outside Jamaica, and I have seen better results so far," she said.
"So I limit my productions with Jamaican producers in an effort not to overkill the market and in an effort to get better reach."
The DJ Fly rhythm also features two other voices, Jamaican artistes Charly Blacks and Richie Loop.
