Logycal promotes 'Hotta Dan Dem'
Dancehall artiste Logycal has released his inaugural music video for his single 'Hotta Dan Dem' on the Rub Up Rub Up rhythm that has been garnering steady attention in dancehall.
The entertainer, born Andre Williams, said the video was shot in Portmore in the communities of Edgewater and Hellshire, with other scenes shot on the Mandela Highway.
"The concept of the video is to show that one girl is more attractive than the others and she immediately sparked my interest. She stood out from the other girls who were around," the artiste reasoned. He continued, "I got her number and then my friend and I decided to link up with her and her friends ...".
The song was distributed by Hapilos 21st and produced by Kimani Smith and Roel Powell. The single has gained almost 3,000 views on YouTube and over 6,000 views on Soundcloud since its release on both file-sharing sites earlier this month.
Hotta Dan Dem has been enjoying steady rotation on radio stations both local and in the US. The video was directed by Lando Wolfe and edited by Dwight Taylor and produced by Taylor /Wolfe concept.
The dancehall newcomer also has songs out, like Hold On and Waa fi Rich, that have been produced by overseas-based RP Entertainment.
The deejay has also been industrious as he is recording new material for his mixtape. Other new projects include Tie Me and Don't Pick Trouble.
Logycal said he also has his own promotional T-shirts that are labeled 'Team Logycal' and is now working on his brand 'Think Logycal' that will be available soon in all different sizes and colours.
Logycal will be performing at Drink and Rave Part Three on December 10 at Bayside, Portmore.
