Mr Vegas rocks cruise with gospel
Dancehall star Mr Vegas was a big hit on the recently concluded Welcome To Jam Rock cruise, which took place on-board The Independence Of The Seas cruise ship.
Performing on the second night of the cruise, Vegas wowed the audience with a gospel-infused set, which included some of his biggest hits such as I Am Blessed, Tek Weh Yuh Self, Nike Air and Heads High.
Vegas held the audience spellbound right throughout his performance, which also included gospel songs such as Hear My Cry Oh Lord and No Body Greater.
The chemistry between Vegas and the audience was evident as he invited several members of the audience to participate in his performance.
"I had a great time performing on the cruise. The audience showed me a lot of love. The energy on the cruise was very positive. I had a lot of fun interacting with the audience throughout my performance," said Vegas.
Always the savvy entertainer, Vegas also took time out to reason with the audience about his recent conversion to Christianity.
"My faith is very important to me, it's an integral part of my life. I'm proud to be a servant of Christ, and I want my fans to understand that, because we are all God's children," he said.
After his performance, Vegas took pictures with a throng of fans who surrounded him to show their appreciation.
"I told my friends they could have come, because Vegas would make it worth it," one female fan said.
Mr Vegas is fully booked for the rest of the year, and is scheduled to make a number of appearances in the US, Columbia and The Bahamas.
Vegas' first gospel album, Soul Therapy, is scheduled to be released early in 2017.
