Suga Roy honours reggae greats on new album
Veteran reggae artiste Suga Roy has collaborated with Conrad Crystal and Zareb to release a new reggae album, titled 'Honoring the Kings of Reggae'.
The album features work from reggae band, The Fire Ball Crew, and was released on November 4.
According to Suga Roy, the album boasts first-class productions and reflects what roots reggae music ought to be.
He also believes the project will survive the test of time, banking on its strong line-up of features from the likes of Busy Signal, Sizzla, Gyptian, Jah Mali, Burro Banton and Terry Linen.
"The Honoring the Kings of Reggae album was done to commemorate and celebrate the work of 19 foundation reggae icons who set the standard in reggae," Suga Roy told THE WEEKEND STAR.
Some of the artistes shown respect on the album include Bob Marley, Desmond Dekker, Bunny Wailer, Dennis Brown, Jimmy Cliff, Toots Hibbert and Burning Spear.
Suga Roy is already promoting the record, titled Trouble, which features Sizzla Kalonji, Jah Mali and The Fire Ball Crew.
The album is currently being distributed by VP Records, VPAL Records USA, and Baco Records in France.
Honoring the Kings of Reggae was produced by Fire Ball Records and Marvin Lattiboudeair, while the final mixing was executed by the iconic Bobby Digital and Cegrica Hamilton.
