Vegas' album recognised by Billboard Magazine
The accolades keep pouring in for Vegas' recently released album, 'This Is Dancehall'.
The album, which is his ninth full-length project and his final dancehall album, was recently named among the 10 Best Reggae Albums for 2016 by the prestigious Billboard Magazine.
This Is Dancehall is listed at number eight on the list, which was compiled by Billboard's Rob Kenner, who hails Vegas as one of Jamaica's most consistent hitmakers in his critique of the album.
The year-end 10 Best Reggae Albums: Critic's Pick was published on www.billboard.com on the 23rd of December.
"I'm humbled that such a prestigious magazine has acknowledged my album as one of the best albums of the year. All praises and glory belong to God Almighty, all my success is a blessing from God."
"This accolade also belongs to all the producers who worked on the project, especially the young ones like Natel, Riva and Robertino. They played a vital role in the production of This Is Dancehall. They spent many sleepless nights working on this project," said Vegas.
This Is Dancehall was released through VPal in August 2016. The 15-track album features songs such as Identify My Love (Remix), Paintbrush featuring Natel, and Dancehall Dab (Remix), featuring Naudia Rose.
Vegas is currently making preparations for the release of his next album, Soul Therapy.
"My next album will be released by the end of February. It's my first gospel project and I can't wait for my fans to hear it," he said.
