Harry Toddler scores remix with Shaggy
Dancehall artiste Harry Toddler has been generating a lot of buzz online with the remix of his single. 'Middle East', alongside dancehall Grammy-winning superstar Shaggy.
"Shaggy heard the single and saw how well it was doing in the street dances and loved the whole vibe and approached us. I just want to big him up for him doing the remix because it has rocketed the song's appeal and reach to a whole new level," Harry Toddler said.
Released last week on iTunes on the DownSound Records label, the single has been racking up thousands of views online via YouTube and other music sharing websites.
"The response has been phenomenal so far," Harrry Toddler said.
The Middle East dance move inspired Harry Toddler's song, and has spawned a popular meme with men of Arabian descent dancing to the song, which has racked up more than 800,000 views online.
The deejay will be using the Middle East remix as a springboard to launch a Caribbean-wide tour to promote the song.
"We have been getting calls from markets such as Trinidad, Guyana, Barbados and St Kitts, where the single is doing well in the clubs and on radio. It's a great look," he said.
Harry Toddler, whose given name is Patrick Jackson, is known for the number one songs like Dance The Angel, Don't Run In and Certain Bwoy.
