Pressure tops chart with new album
Reggae artiste Pressure Buss Pipe has notched another important achievement as his Billboard-charting album, 'Red Rose', is now the number one reggae album on the Jamaica Music Countdown.
"It's a great feeling to know that my album is doing so well in the Jamaican market, and by extension, the international market. People are really gravitating towards the love songs on this album," Pressure Buss Pipe said.
The Red Rose album was released November 2 by Jalpo Records/Busspipe Records, and debuted at number eight in November 2016 on the Billboard Reggae Album chart. The album took almost 11 weeks to get to the pole position on the Jamaica Music Countdown.
"I will be pushing a new single called A Lion is A Lion in the Jamaican market this month. It is not on the album, but the initial reaction in the streets and online has been excellent," he said.
The 12-track album, Red Rose, contains singles such as Time Is The Master, Once Again, Lost Without You, Woman of The Nile, and Moments.
In 2007, Pressure Buss Pipe scored a massive hit with the single Love And Affection.
He is currently the cultural ambassador for the US Virgin Islands (USVI), and recently renewed his contract with the USVI Tourist Board to help promote the tourism product of the country, which has a population of over 100,000.
The Rastafarian singer, whose given name is Delyno Brown, is a huge star in his country, but he is working towards breaking barriers in Jamaica.
"Jamaica is the place to be, and I will be spending more time in the island within the coming months," he said.
Pressure is also booked for the Welcome To Jamrock Cruise 2017, and there are plans to shoot a video for Once Again, one of the lead singles on his Red Rose album.
