It's all systems go for the first staging of the popular Music And Pool Series (M.A.P.S) in the second city of Montego Bay. On February 4, the party series will invade The Palms at Palmyra.

"The team saw an opportunity to expand its reach, and we decided to capitalise on it. The whole concept of M.A.P.S is moving the event to different locations, parishes and even countries," one of the promoters, Curtis Johnson, said.

Encore International is the promotional team behind M.A.P.S. which celebrates its second anniversary this year.

Four events

"For 2017 we've decided to expand to the North American market by having four events this year. After Montego Bay, we head to Ocho Rios in June, then Florida in July and May Pen in October," Johnson added.

The promoters have partnered with well-known and respected Montego Bay promoter, Andre 'Pnut' Brown, who will be one of the directors for the upcoming staging.

Disc jocks DJ Kentucky, DJ Tippy, DJ Naz, Team Shella and sound system Coppershot will have patrons dancing non-stop inside the Palms at Palmyra. The party starts at 2 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m.

"Patrons can expect high quality entertainment. M.A.P.S. is a pool party where patrons actually interact with the pool and the props provided," Johnson said.
