Esco hosts DJ competition
Radio personality and producer Esco is showing his altruistic nature with his latest venture. The multifaceted entertainer recently announced that he would be hosting a disc jock competition, where he will be giving all aspiring acts the chance of becoming a radio disc jocks. Esco, in collaboration with Hot 102, has dubbed the competition 'Hot Mix DJ Competition'.
"I have always been the type of artiste to look out for young talent in the music industry. That's how I got started with my personal music success. Being on radio is no different. I saw that the music industry is in need of younger, fresher and more trained talent, so I decided to create this opportunity using Hot 102 as a platform for this development."
The entry process is very easy. Interested persons can visit any Fontana Pharmacy islandwide and purchase an application form for $1,000. Afterwards, the act completes the application form, create a playlist by mixing songs using downloadable crates and then post a video no longer than 60 seconds showcasing their skills playing on Instagram.
The competition will be open until May 19. The lucky winner will earn a cash prize of $50,000, a one hour slot on Hot Mix, solo time on Hot 102 fm, a pair of headphones and phone credit.
Esco boasts that this venture could evolve into an annual competition and implores everyone interested to take advantage of this opportunity.
