Konshens turns up heat for summer
Fresh off his recent signing with Empire and a new collab with Chris Brown, Konshens continues to drop more heat for the upcoming summer season.
Since the launch of the music video for Turn Me On last Wednesday, the YouTube views have climbed to more than 1.5 million a testament to the artiste's devoted fan base and consistent track record of popular music.
The video was directed by Jay Will and the single is available on all digital platforms.
Since 2012, Konshens has been making a mark with hits such as Gal A Bubble, Do Sum'n and Pull Up to Mi Bumper. The Kingston native has continued to release party-themed dancehall tracks. His 2016 single, Bruk off Yuh Back, has accumulated close to 100 million Spotify streams, and the video has received more than 50 million views.
A crossover into the mainstream was inevitable for Konshens. And in 2017, Chris Brown gave more life to Bruk off Yuh Back when he did an official remix. Konshens has also delivered provocative verses on some of the biggest R&B/pop songs to date, from Miguel's Adorn to Chris Brown's Back to Sleep. Other collaborations include The Chainsmokers' Don't Let Me Down, the remix to Jamie XX's I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times), Dre Skull's Don't Worry, Ariana Grande's Side to Side, Sean Paul's Want Dem All (which led to a 2014 performance on the Arsenio Hall Show), Cardi B's Back It Up, Rvssian's Privado featuring Nicky Jam, Farruko and Arcangel.
This past month, he visited New York for a quick promo run to chat with FUSE, VEVO and VLAD TV about his success, and perform live for VIBE and SiriusXM's Sway In The Morning new concert series.
Still not slowing down, Konshens will perform Turn Me On at NYC's annual Hot 97 Summer Jam on June 11.
