Four of the hottest local acts, Bounty Killa, Sizzla, Tommy Lee Sparta and Masicka, are set to rock Clarendon on the eve of Emancipation Day, Monday, July 31, at the popular Big Mugz party.

"It's a champion line-up with four of Jamaica's top artistes," said the event promoter Terrence McDonald, popularly known as 'Mugz Boss' or 'Junior Mugz'. "Sizzla is a giant, Bounty Killa is a giant, Masicka hot right now, and Tommy Lee Sparta hot right now, too."

The party is set for Manchester Avenue, May Pen. In spite of the high-powered line-up, McDonald pointed out that the event is not a stage show, but a party.

Along with the big four, the 'Mugz Boss' said talented Clarendon artiste Fullaz Tall Boss has been added to the cast.

He has not been doing a lot of shows because a lot of shows are not kept on this side, but he has been recording a lot and his songs are being played hard on the dancehall scenes down here," he said. "He has a new song, 'Tight Up'; it deals with dress code and has a sample of Vybz Kartel," the promoter said.

SEVENTH EDITION

He said that since November 2015, this is the seventh edition of Mugz.

"I do it three times a year," McDonald said. "This is the second one for this year, the first was in April. It was wicked! Dexta Daps and Spice were on that one."

The promoter noted that Monday's party will see an addition to the all-white concept.

"It's an all-white party and we're giving it a little touch of Hawaiian luau," he explained. "This time I want to give it a different flavour. We have to bring different creativities in terms of party scenes and let people see that we can do it and you don't have to go to Ochi or Negril to get this type of party. We want people to see that they can get it right here."
