Dream come true for Sean De Vere
Dancehall artiste Sean De Vere gave an impressive performance at the recently held Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival in New York. The event, which attracted more than 10,000 patrons, was the first of its kind for the former Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall of Dancehall runner-up.
"This is the first time performing for an audience of that magnitude. Stepping on to the stage and seeing so many people was nerve-wracking. At that moment, I knew this was what I dreamt about since I was 12. I was well received by the audience, which helped to overcome that nervousness and allowed me to give a satisfactory performance," he said.
The artiste performed songs from his album, I am Sean De Vere, which he said is also doing well since its release two months ago.
"The album is doing very well in digital stores, especially in the US, Canada, and UK. It is picking up strength in Sweden, Australia and Singapore. There has been a lot of good feedback thus far, which will continue to grow as my music breaks the barriers into different territories," he said.
Sean is currently in New York doing the promotion rounds, including an interview with New York's Tribestar Radio last Friday.
