Sound systems in the spotlight at House of Dancehall
It will be deja vu at the House of Dancehall tonight when three legendary sounds line up to pay a 'Tribute to House of Leo'.
A former party hotspot, House of Leo, was located at Cargill Avenue in Half-Way Tree, where the House of Dancehall currently operates.
Exodus Nuclear, known as a factory for dub plates, will lead off. With their history of big street dances, the younger generation should be in for a juggling treat.
Metro Media is not only known for being a slawart of House of Leo and big dances, but for its affiliation with legends like Peter Metro, Sky Juice and Daddy Metro who will be honoured along with Father Romie from Exodus.
The plan is for Exodus and Metro to lay the foundation for the 'younger legends' as Swatch takes the turntables later in the event.
Tomorrow it's an all-out sound clash war as sounds from three cities will do battle. Some say that Hi Quality from the Corporate Area has the homecrowd advantage but Crazy Chia out of Montego Bay has confirmed that he is coming with busloads of fans.
Not to be outdone are the contingents from Portmore who follow Echo One and Flava Unit.
The clash is a winner-take-all cash prize.
